Two thumbs up, Cheap price and good Colombian food, nice outside seating, previously this location served for Kentucky fried chicken which did not inspire me to stop by but now that I did I have no regrets. I was surprised at how the managed to create warm atmosphere with hand carved wood furniture and defined a nice outside seating bordered by plants. this was a quick stop for me to place and pick up a to go order - They have daily specials at under 8$ very cheap, I ordered Monday special, chicken Breast on the grill with salad and Lentil soup, salad came with a 1/4 avocado on the side, potion was large food seemed and tasted good and fresh service staff seemed nice and attentive making this easy to recomend

Everything was just ok. You can get the same food anywhere. My fave part is their empanadas and they have this little hot vinaigrette for them that is delicious. I had the bandeja paisa. I ordered it w/ avocado and the waitress served me instead w/ a chorizo sausage and didnt bother to apologize or advise they had just run out of avocado and just tried to slip me the plate w/ out a word. When asked she said they are out, they are giving the sausage now w/ an attitude. Gee thx. I forgot they are doing me a favor, right? My boyfriend had the sancocho de gallina. (Chicken stew), they were out of arroz con pollo so this was the next best thing. No avocado and just a bit of meat. Definitely nothing to write home about. Mi Colombia is better and its across the street. I might be back for a couple empanadas on my way to the beach. Those were good.

Let me start of by saying, I'm not a fan of Spanish food. I know, I know how dare I say that and live in Miami but I just didn't grow up on it and I haven't quite acquired a taste for it yet. That being said we went here because my girlfriend was craving a Spanish breakfast. The place is pretty with beautiful wood furniture and warm colors. The girls working here are pretty friendly bit they like to talk a lot which slow the service a bit. The food was good and we'll be back to try dinner another day

It's a cute little Colombian styled eatery in the North Shore section of Miami Beach but one has to admit, even a few pots with fake flowers, some cumbia on the radio and other ethnic doo-dads adorning the wall do little to hide the fact that this was a former KFC. And in our neigborhood which just lost its local McDonalds AND Miami Subs (and years earlier we lost our BK and Wendy's) I have to say - these cute little Colombian/Peruvian eateries dotting our barrio are getting old - which is to say that's about all we have left. Except maybe 15 places to eat pizza. . . but Mi Tierra does belt out the touted Paisa Bandeja which is servings of sausage and crunchy pig skin and a churrasco skirt steak with rice and beans - the prob? It's really not that great - plenty to eat, but most of it sorta tasting the same - not too much effort. The Sangria tastes like they took a bottle of Mogen David - and then ADDED a cup of white sugar. You could lose a tooth. But service is pleasant and keeps the pace - it does seem to seat a lot of locals and blue collar workers so it's certainly not unpopular, just not my cup of tea.

I never had Columbian food before, but I will be having it from now on. I just moved to Miami Beach and saw this place down the street from where I lived. We tried it and both my buddy and I fell in love with the food here. Moy bueno! The prices are very reasonable; you can get a dinner combination platter for about $10-$12. I will be coming here again. Try the traditional platter which comes with a little bit of different stuff. The bread they give while you're waiting for the food is also a mouth pleaser.

I'm really a fan of this place. This is a traditional COLOMBIAN spot (not Spanish Gabi B!!! :)), and the food is solid, and the staff is very nice. If you haven't already figured out, I'm a complete American Gringo, but my lovely wife is Colombian and she has gotten me into Colombian food. I used to think Colombian food was a little plain compared to other Latin foods (like the king of all Latin food Mexican food, or Cuban food), but I appreciate the simple hardiness and rustic quality of Colombian food. On that note this place does not disappoint. The food is always well done and delicious. The Bandeja paisa, is a really tasty dish. The thin steak is grilled nicely, the chorizo is wonderfully fried and has that nice snap, the chicarron is fried to perfection), served with a little arepa, rice and beans. The sides are great. Everything is high quality, wholesome, and delicious. I had a little return to carb eating the past week and this was a welcomed treat. The bakery they own next door is also amazing. The empanadas are awesome, the pan bono and bunuelos are all top notch (especially when they are freshly fried). I wouldn't suggest drinking the wine they have here, but enjoy a cold beer or a Colombian soda, and you're golden. The Service is great though English is not really their strong suit so keep that in minde. Luckily my "food Spanish" is good enough to get by. I really recommend this place highly.

This used to be one of my favorite Colombian Restaurants; however, it does not have a Colombian food menu for children like most other Colombian restaurants do. Their children's menu consist of french fries, chicken fingers and chicken wings. My child is of Colombian descent, I want her to eat Colombian food not Fried stuff that I can get at McNasty. Anyhow, I asked to substitute one of the items in the breakfast menu for my 10 y/o daughter, the waitress said they couldn't. I asked to see the ask the owner, he told me the cooks would get confused if I replaced an Arepa (colombian bread) for a piece of fried plantain. Really? are your cooks idiots? I am not asking them to resolve an irrational inequality not provide me with the molecular structure of cold fusion. I was asking to replace a piece of bread for a fried plantain. To add insult to injury the owner told me I should get her a regular plate of food from the menu..... Really???? a 10 y/o will never eat a full plate of food made for an adult and I am not paying for food that she is not going to eat. I was always a fan of this place for their food because it is good, but poor costumer service and unwillingness to change 1 food item for a 10 year old child makes me give them a one star. Don't take your children there if you would like them to eat Colombian food because they don't have anything in the children's menu for them, nor they are willing to make any accommodations for them.

Ok good service ok food

Slow and disinterested waitresses who we had to constantly track down for service, mediocre Colombian fare which was disappointing. My friend ordered a pork dish which had to be returned due to the pork tasting old and like rubber, luckily they didn't charge her for it. My fish was OK but I've definitely had way better. Will never go back there when i return to Miami.

Food was bad fish was old. Afted returning it they said they would still charge it and refused to take it off the check WORST SERVICE TERRIBLE FOOD WILL NEVER RETURN!!

We ordered empanadas and even though they were confirmed as having been on the way they never came. When our entrees arrived we told them we still wanted them and then they still never came. We also ordered a salchipapas and they didn't get that right. The two bandeja paisa we ordered were just OK, beans were under flavored and the chicharron/pork rind was not cooked through. The meat quality wasn't the best. Service although nice was slow. They don't take American Express. I hate giving bad reviews but this one had too many things wrong.

Excellent and authentic Colombian food. The prices were reasonable. Would definitely come back. The service was friendly. The empanadas were very good and would recommend getting them.

This place is comfort food with exciting flavors. Whoever is in the back is cooking with love so be patient if your entree takes a while. I wish we wrote down what I ordered cause it was amazing. (check out my pics) Eating here is like eating at someones house, homemade goodness. The golden potatoes are to die for. WOW!! They just melt in your mouth. Our stew was tender and tasty, mixed with sauteed peppers and onions. The rice and beans, Yum. They add so much flavor to the beans, I've never had them so flavorful. The service is a little slow but the girls are very kind and sweet. They have wine & beer plus a cute outdoor terrace. So if your in the mood for trying some Colombian food I recommend Mi Tierra.

By far the best tasting tongue meal I've had besides my moms recipe. I've driven 2 times from broward county because I was craving this dish. The restaurant seating area is cute. Definitely will recommend!
(4)JC C.
Decor is traditional rustic Colombian. I had el bistec al lomo with maduros. Found it to be a good value. The meal was definitely comfort food & reminded me of eating at my friends house in Colombia. Service time was adequate & server was friendly; although once my food arrived I was forgotten about & had to ask for a water refill. Prior to my request my glass sat empty for close to 10-min. I would definitely stop in for lunch again.

I ordered a Bandeja paisa. The waiters were very kind and attentive. The food was wonderful.

What a mistake to have come here if you are looking for dry meat, and even food poisoning I will never go again. They are expensive and the food is horrible.
(1)Maria Y.
I don't appreciate them including their own tip with a pen and adding it to the total bill. Their food was okay, the meat was hard... Food was not very appetizing
(2)Macarena R.
Horrible service. Add gratuity by hand... Plates are nothing like the pictures and avocado is by request. I recommend Mi Colombia 100% times!! Great food Outstanding services.

Great food by far best steak from any Latin American country. The wait was average but worth it. The waitresses were nice and the seating, ambiance and cleanliness was great. They did allow substitutions as I went with a salad over fries and they brought avocado out without asking unlike what another review said. Also the jugos were excellent. We came here after looking for a restaurant that served good authentic Colombian food it was perfect.

We went yesterday at around 4:30pm to have a late lunch. As soon as we came in, the waitress asked if we were going to eat, I am not sure if we were inconveniencing her, soon we found out that there was an important soccer game in about three hours and they were preparing for it. When we said that we would be eating she said that there was no AC in the restaurant (again, not sure if she was trying to discourage us from staying). She asked if we would please sit in the patio instead of inside as they needed to organize the indoor part for the upcoming soccer game. We were nice enough and despite the summer Miami Heat we agreed to sit outside in order for us customers accommodate the waitress so she and the rest of the staff could organize the tables and chairs for their soccer game. When we finally sat down and were ready to order I ordered two empanadas which are one of the most common and typical Colombian appetizers. The same waitress said "I'm sorry but we don't have empanadas now, the kitchen staff is too busy preparing for tonight's match and they don't have time to cook them. If you want empanadas there is another Colombian restaurant across the street." While I was amazed by her answer my husband nicely asked if he could order some pan de Bono (another typical Colombian dish), she replied "same thing as with the empanadas, we can't cook it now, my staff is too busy." She didn't even apologized for it. My husband looked at me and said don't worry, let's order our main courses here since we are already sitting down and I'll bring the empanadas and pan the bono from across the street. He did, the waitress saw us eating from the plastic bag and didn't even offer us small plates. In the meantime we ordered our main courses, drinks and left the appropriate tip as the decent reasonable customers we are. To be quite honest I am not sure why we stayed, I guess is because my husband is a very patient person and we were very hungry but I was very disappointed and will never be coming back. I'm sure the soccer game was very important for the restaurant but they also need to remember that not every customer's life walking into their establishment revolves around Copa America and regardless of the importance of the soccer match, the service to clients shouldn't have suffered. I am very disappointed by the rude service and will make sure to never come back and never recommend it to any friends or family.

The worst food expierence ever. The owner tried explaining to me [an American]. That in America it is a law to pay for your meal even when you are displeased, so he has to charge me for the horrible fish. I literally had one regretful bite. Disgusting, not even sure why we sat down. Also overly priced. Even the plantains were horrible. Save yourself! Don't even try.

This place is way better than 3 stars. I frequent many Columbian spots and I can't complain about the food, location or prices. Service is prompt and the location is pleasant. Of all the other Colombian restaurants in the area i set choose this one not only for all the reasons above but the most important one it all... They have designated PARKING!

Was reluctant to eat here bc of the reviews but a carful of Colombians are hard to argue with. We ordered beef empanadas, a churrasco and a bandeja paisa. Everything was tasty and the service was good. If you are after an inexpensive Colombian meal in North Beach, Mi Tierra is a good option.

I wish I would've taken a picture of what was on my plate, but I was so disgusted and quick to run to the bathroom to throw up that I didn't have the chance!!!! Yesterday was my birthday. I'd been wanting to eat at Mi Tierra because it was in my neighborhood and I hadn't had an actual plate of Colombian food in years, besides perros. My cousin surprised me with a visit and took me out to lunch. I ignored the musty feel and smell upon arrival. There were a few people there, I thought, this place has to be good. I ordered the bandeja paisa with a side order of aguacate. I'd been craving this dish for years! Although it was served on an iron plate, my food wasn't hot at all. I didn't make a stink about it. The flavor? Mediocre. Even the pique was sub par. I was half way done with my plate and when I flipped my second maduro over to start eating eat I see a dead half squished pinky nail sized cockroach!!!!!! It looked like a skunk! Black with two stripes!!! Ran to to the bathroom and through the ef up!! When I came back the plate was gone, and my cousin got the bill. I was in such shock I didn't finish my glass of water or even touch the plate of avocado!!! I didn't know what else was tainted in this place!!! That's when I look over at the kitchen and could just imagine what else was crawling in the outdated moldy looking kitchen!!!! The waitress had the nerve to say "if the manager was here your whole meal would be on the house, but he's not so I'm only taking off her dish from the bill." I was still in such shock I couldn't speak up for him to fight and say that avocado needs to come off the bill too! I couldn't bear to touch the silverware at that point!!! After leaving the "restaurant" I asked him wtf kind of roach that was and he said those are the kinds that come from dirty restaurant kitchens! Never in my life had I seen a roach like that!!! And I'm originally from New York, home of the subway rat and bed bugs!! With all the restaurants popping up in Miami, taking over spaces that closed due to unsanitary conditions (this building used to be KFC) one of two things need to happen: 1. Gutting kitchens and starting that part from scratch AT THE LEAST!!! OR 2. Sanitary business ratings like they do in states like New York and North Carolina

This restaurant doesn't represent the Colombian food at all... One of the waiters told me the cooks was not Colombian and we noticed for sure And I have to travel a lot to Bogota and Medellin for my work....and I know 100% recognized tasty bandeja paisa or delicious ajiaco
(1)Mister A.
Food was not as good as I've had before at other Colombian restaurants. Service certainly not even close.

Worst Colombian restaurant in the city. If you want to eat Colombian there are dozens of other options. The empanadas, breadsticks and the other items on front counter are stale, greasy and smell funny. The entrees are disgusting I ordered bandeja paisa and the shredded meat was old, cold and tasted metallic, the chorizo is inedible, the plantains burned and the fried eggs overcooked. The manager has a nasty attitude and the waiters unresponsive. One of the worst dinning experiences I ever had. My recommendation stay home and throw a frozen meal in the microwave you will be more satisfied.

We had bandeja paisa and chuleta, which were excellent. Service is quick and attentive. Food takes a little while but everything comes out great. Not too expensive. The waitress was up front about not having oranges for orange juice and their espresso machine was also out of service, but she was so sweet the whole time and offered alternatives. I appreciate that. I usually go to the restaurant across the street but I had a bigger party so the bar seating would have been uncomfortable. Also when we arrived the only available table was reserved but the waitress ensured us we could sit there with no problem and it was true. We never were asked to move and I never saw a party arrive that demanded their reserved table lol. Just great service!, and yummy yummy food.
